MOVEO COMPANY

The company, of international dimension, has been based in Barcelona since 2005. Its three founding members Sophie Kasser, Stéphane Lévy and Olivier Décriaud, trained and have worked together for years, acting and directing various shows in Belgium, Croatia, France, Israel, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom.

From the start Moveo has focused on creating devised physical theatre, where movement is mixed with text, music, set, props and video. For this fusion of artistic languages, in the show Requiem in particular, in 2007 it received the Special Jury Prize from the festival Mostra de Teatre de Barcelona.
In 2011, ARA! was awarded the e-MIX Quality Label in physical and visual theatre in Europe 2011, given by the e-MIX Project.

The repertoire of the company has three other productions, Marelle (2005), Detrás (2007) and Soñar el Río Hasta el Mar (2008), with the support of the Generalitat of Catalonia).

Moveo is part of the training and creation centre in physical theatre MOVEO, the only centre in Spain specializing in transmission and evolution of corporeal mime. For Moveo, the investigation, the multidisciplinarity and the complicity between professionals from different horizons of the performing arts are necessary to the development of contemporary theatre.
