MOVEO TEATRO new creation:
"ARA!"

MOVEO TEATRO considers physical theatre a universal theatrical language that belongs to the contemporary theatrical panorama. Our main objective is to develop theatre shows using physical expression as its main mean of expression, combining it with other theatrical elements like text and music, lighting and videos.

Our work, developed over many years, is based on Etienne Decroux’s technique and its contemporary developements. Thanks to its in-depth process of creations, the company has created a unique and original style of highly physical and visual performance

The Company was ceated in 2004 in Barcelona by three former members of the international compay Theatre de l'Ange Fou. Its three founding members trained in London with the last assistants of Etienne Decroux. They have been working together for years, acting in various shows in Belgium, Croatia, Scotland, Spain, France, England, Israel, Italy, and Poland.

MOVEO TEATRO’s artistic projects grow out of a process of investigation and intercultural collaboration, as we believe that research and multidisciplinarity are important principles for the creation of contemporary theatre.

Since its creation, Moveo Teatro has created for shows, Marelle, Réquiem (Jury’s Special Award for the skillful fusion of scenic languages, Muestra de Teatro de Barcelona 2007), Detrás (created from a show directed at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona) and Soñar el Río Hasta el Mar.

Our productions have been presented in: Festival Gest d’Esparreguera-Barcelona, Festival Cos Reus, Festival ACT de Bilbao, Teatro La Planeta de Gerona, Carme Teatre de Valencia, Teatro La Bòbila de Barcelona, Teatre Alegria de Terrassa, French Institut of Barcelona, Antic Teatre de Barcelona, Teatre del Raval de Barcelona, physical theatre, dance and performance festival of the Teatro Tantarantana de Barcelona, International physical theatre festival de Varsovia, International visual theatre festival de Labin (Croatia).
