The pedagogical team of the International Corporeal Mime School in Barcelona
STEPHÁNE LÉVY
Born in Paris, Stephane graduated in Philosophy before completing a diploma in Corporeal Mime at the London International School of Corporeal Mime, directed by Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum, the last assistants of Etienne Decroux. He studied vocal technique with J. Wilde, A.-M. Speed and P. van Zyl. From 1997 to 1999 he followed the post-grade programme of the school, specializing in Teaching and Directing.
From 1999 to 2002 he assisted S. Wasson and C. Soum, teaching at the London Corporeal Mime School.
During this period, and for five years, he was also member of the company “Théâtre de l’Ange Fou”, and participated in the creation of six of its productions, with which the company toured Europe.
From then to the present day, he has lead workshops in festivals, schools and companies, such as: Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Central School of Speech and Drama of London, London International Mime Festival in the U.K.; Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, Escuelas Superiores de Arte Dramático de Valencia and Vigo, Associació d’actors de les Illes Balears, Mostra Gest d’Esparreguera, Institut d’Educación Física de Catalunya and Associació de Teatre de Girona, in Spain; Trident School of Amberes, Belgium, and the Conservatoire Populaire of Geneva.
In 2004, Stephane, together with Sophie Kasser, founded MOVEO- Training and creation centre. He is co-director of the Escuela Internacional de Mimo Corporal Dramático de Barcelona, and co-artistic director of the theatre company Moveo Teatro, with whom he won in 2007 the Special Prize of the Jury of the Mostra de Teatre de Barcelona for the show Requiem.
In 2005 he became a teacher at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, teaching both in the national school of the theatre and in the dance conservatory. |

SOPHIE KASSER
Born in Geneva, Sophie took dance and circus classes before working under the direction of Anne Vaucher at the Théâtre du Crève-Coeur and with Bénédict Gampert at Conservatoire Populaire de Genève. She graduated and specialised with a postgraduate programme in Corporeal Mime at the International School of Corporeal Mime of London, directed by Steven Wasson y Corinne Soum. Sophie completed her training with classes and workshops with Alain Carré, Jean-Pierre Amiel, Teatre Dimitri, Beetchouc Circus, at the Studio Harmonic of Paris and at Martha Graham School in New York. She also holds a Master in Artistic Policy and Production from the Birkbeck University of London.
Sophie is co-founder and co-director of MOVEO - training and creation centre and member of l'Associació d'Actors i Directors Professionals de Catalunya.
She gives classes since 2004 at the Escuela internacional de mimo corporal dramático de Barcelona. She has also led courses and workshops in schools, festivals and theatre companies, such as Central School of Speech and Drama of London, Conservatoire Populaire of Geneva, Superior Pedagogical School of Aarau, and in Spain, at the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático in Valencia and Vigo, Institute of Theatre of Barcelona, Colegi del Teatre de Barcelona, Associació d'actors de les Illes Balears, Festivals MIM of Sueca, GEST of Esparreguera and Associació de Teatre de Girona
From 1999 to 2003 she was a member of the company “Théâtre de l'Ange Fou”., directed by S. Wasson and C. Soum, with which she toured to Belgium, England, Israel, Italy and Scotland. Now she performs and creates shows for the company Moveo Teatro, such as "Marelle", "Requiem" o "Soñar el Río", touring with them through various theatres and festivals in Europe.
Other activities include her participation in conferencies and filming, projects such as the co-writing of "Detrás", show created for the Institute of Theatre of Barcelona, the direction of "Desvetllades" for the University of Barcelona - research centre DUODA, and a workshop-show for Dies de Dansa, festival GREC de Barcelona. |
OLIVIER DECRIAUD
Born in New Hebrides Island, Olivier holds a BA in French Literature and studied Physical Theatre and Corporeal Mime with Ivan Bacchiochi and Robert Bennett in París, and Steven Wasson y Corinne Soum at the London International School of Corporeal Mime, where he graduated and specialised.
From 2001 to 2003, he was part of the company ‘Théâtre de l’Ange Fou’, directed by Corinne Soum and Steven Wasson. He performed in several of its productions, being a leading part in The Government Inspector. With the company and since then, he has toured to Croatia, Scotland, Spain, France, England, Israel and Poland.
Olivier has thought children and adults in schools and organisations in England, Egypt, Spain and France. He has worked in collaboration with Oliver Pollak (Germany), Anthony Warrant (France), and for the Alliance Française de Port Said (Egypt) and Glob’culture (France).
Olivier is co-founder and member of Moveo Teatro, actor and director. He currently teaches at Escuela Internacional de Mimo Corporal Dramático, Colegi del Teatre and Plató de Cinema in Barcelona. |

OSCAR VALSECCHI
Has graduated from the International School of Corporeal Mime of London, where he also followed the post-graduate program in Teaching and Directing. Between 1999 and 2006 he worked with Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum as teaching assistant in the same school. Previously he studied at the Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame de
Marcel Marceau. He completed his training with dance, fencing and trapeze classes.
From 1998 to 2006 he was a member of the company Théâtre de l’Ange Fou, directed by S. Wasson and C. Soum in London, working as an actor and set designer.
In 2009 he worked as a coach with the actor Lluis Homar for the movie “Eva” directed by Kike Maillo. He has collaborated with various theatre and circus artists and has performed in shows for adults and children that toured in Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom.
He also collaborated and performed in conferences-demonstrations on Corporeal Mime by Corinne Soum for the Blue Raincoat theatre, Ireland and ECUM of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Until now Oscar has given classes and workshops for various entities, such as: the Scuola Movimento Danza of Naples, Accento Teatro in Rome, University DAMS in Bologna, the Circus Space and the City Lit in London, the London Mime Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, ConCorda in Kilkenny and Les Ateliers du Vent in Rennes.
Oscar is a co- founder and director of the company Teatro InSospeso, Naples.
At present he is a teacher in MOVEO – School of Corporeal Dramatic Mime of Barcelona and for the project Mus_e Barcelona. |
VALENTINA TEMUSSI
Has graduated from the Oriental Institute University of Naples in Modern Literature with specialization in History of modern and contemporary theatre. She then graduated from the International School of Corporeal Mime of London, where she also followed the post-graduate program in Teaching and Directing. She also studied at the theatre school BarDeFe.
She was a member of the company 'Théâtre de l'Ange Fou' directed by Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum for four years in London and as an actress has collaborated with different theaters and festivals in several parts of the world: Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom. In Italy she has worked as an actress, in various projects for children and in conferences-demonstrations on Corporeal mime at the Academy of Fine Arts and Lanificio25 in Naples and at the Teatro Potlach in Fara in Sabina.
Since 2001 Valentina is a mime and theatre teacher in several schools and projects as The Factory Community Project in London, Mus-e onlus, Dinamo3 and Scuola Movimento Danza of Naples, Piccolo Re di Roma Teatro and Accento Teatro in Rome, Les Ateliers du Vent in Rennes.
Valentina is a co-founder and director of the company Teatro InSospeso, Naples. At present is a mime teacher in MOVEO – School of Corporeal Dramatic Mime of Barcelona. |

SAMUEL TORNQVIST
Has graduated from the Naropa Boulder University, USA, in music and movement. Samuel is apianist and singer. He has also worked as aa actor, musician and composer with various groups of music in different styles and in several parts of the world. He has founded his own group of jazz, Kanzzelado.
Samuel has worked with agencies as Vasa Gymnasium in Sweden where he gave classes, Garuda Theatre and Danelle Helander Dance Theatre in the United States for whom he composed music or the Roy Hart Center of France with whom he collaborated as a teacher, musician and performer.
Samuel also has gained experience in engineering, production, recording of sound and edition of sound for companies of theater and dance. Samuel lives in Barcelona since 2005 and his last project has been to create the music and sound of the show HA ESTAT UN ANY DOLENT PER ALS BENEITS, show presented in the "assaigs oberts" of the Teatre Lliure. Samuel gives classes for Moveo – School of Corporeal Dramatic Mime of Barcelona as well as workshops and private classes. |
